Description:
The Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech performs ultrasound procedures to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment. The Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech specializes in diagnostic sonography procedures and possesses a technical expertise.
The position provides assistance to support ancillary personnel Typical Duties:
• Performs procedures as ordered to obtain sonographic images according to department protocols.
• Screens and interviews each patient using designated clinical assessment forms to record information.
• Performs ultrasound procedures to include properly positioning and/or immobilizing patients on exam table, uses appropriate probes and equipment for the exam, observes patient during scans and monitors and reviews video display making the appropriate adjustments to improve picture quality and/or audibility. •

• Understands and uses PACS, EMR, and other software related to job responsibilities.

- 1 year of Ultrasound tech exp required
- license/cert required
- Must pass a criminal background & Drug test and have current immunizations required by hospital
