CornerStone Medical is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a state-of-the-art acute care hospital in beautiful Marble Falls, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced maternity setting and is passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the birthing experience.
Schedule
- 3 Night Shifts per Week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Must arrive on the unit by 6:40 PM and be ready for report at 6:45 PM
- Weekends required
- Potential on-call responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum process.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with nursing standards and hospital policies.
- Advocate for patients while promoting a safe, compassionate, and therapeutic care environment.
Required
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- NRP Certification
- BSN Required
- LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience
- STABLE Certification
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Experience managing high-risk obstetric patients
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
- Commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered care
