LVN License/certification - required
Payrate $21/hr
• Work Location (Remote/On-Site/Hybrid): Hybrid (train on site and transition to remote). May need to return to site for additional training if not meeting expectations.
• Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am – 5pm (1hr for lunch)
• Certifications/Degree Requirements:LVN certifications, must be in good standing.
• Top skills: Call center experience. On base Experience. Epic experience. Previous experience in handling refill requests or Prior Authorizations.
This is pharm tech JD but will be aligned with LVN(with LVN being paid slightly higher).
JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates with providers and local pharmacies in the area to assist in the technical aspects of the distribution of medication refills and related functions for improving patient care. This is a high-volume position that requires attention to detail. The position will have direction from clinic physician leadership protocols and direct reporting to clinic nursing leadership.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (Essential Functions):
WORKS AS PATIENT LIAISON BETWEEN THE PHARMACY AND THE PROVIDERS AT THE CLINIC. Receives and processes all requests for medication refills by fax, phone, person to person and by electronic format. Works with physicians to ensure refill protocols are in place. Uses clinic protocols and researching patient information to assist care providers with medication refills. Corresponds with insurance companies regarding prior authorizations for medications.
WORKS TO CONTRIBUTE TO A QUALITY WORK ENVIRONMENT.
Communicates with relevant personnel regarding medication distribution in a courteous and prompt manner. Keeps all patient information confidential. Answers incoming phone calls and responds to the needs of the caller and/or directs them to the appropriate person for service in a professional manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to type 35+ WPM. Skill in researching and finding resolutions to problems. Ability to work with patients in a courteous and friendly manner. Skill in working with nurses and doctors to expeditiously process adequate responses. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn DWP, Sequoia, and other required programs.
