Oncology / Counseling Focus
Contract to hire- Specialty Pharmacy
North Fort Worth TX
On site M-F 10 am to 7 pm
ROLE IMPACT
This onsite Clinical Pharmacist role focuses on delivering high-touch pharmacotherapy counseling and coordination for oncology patients. By integrating clinical expertise with patient education and regulatory compliance, the pharmacist plays a critical role in driving treatment success, ensuring continuity of care, and supporting clinical operations and intake. The ideal candidate excels in patient communication, multitasking, and collaborative clinical coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct comprehensive pharmacotherapy reviews and document findings to support clinical continuity
• Counsel patients on drug therapy in line with evidence-based protocols
• Coordinate care with clinicians and support stakeholders including caregivers, nurses, and patient services
• Oversee dispensing of medications per federal/state pharmacy laws and company SOPs
• Lead intake for all new referrals and ensure “outrageous customer service” delivery
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and assist with adjudication of claims and QA
• Maintain compliance with REMS, controlled substance management, and waste protocols
• Monitor adverse events, conduct education support, and ensure complete patient deactivation procedures
• Provide on-call support as scheduled
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Active TX pharmacist license in good standing
• 3+ years of experience in counseling and pharmacy operations
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program
• Comfortable with 8-hour daily phone-based patient counseling
• Must live within 1-hour commute of Fort Worth, TX office
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
• Licensed in TX (required
• BCOP certified or willingness to obtain upon eligibility
• Meets CE requirements per Board of Pharmacy laws
