Are you an experienced Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys providing exceptional patient care? We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant to join a busy Ear, Nose & Throat specialty practice in Bedford, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated healthcare professional looking to grow their career with a respected physician-led team and transition into a long-term role.
What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you'll work directly alongside physicians and physician assistants to ensure patients receive outstanding care from check-in through treatment and follow-up.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Greet and check patients in and out at the front desk
- Collect new patient paperwork, insurance cards, IDs and enter and scan the information into the EMR system
- Collect on patient accounts and charges as required by patient insurance and office policies
- Answer phones and schedule appointments per schedule protocols and take messages to send to appropriate staff.
- Scan all demographic, clinical documents into EMR in proper timeframe.
- Verify insurance benefits prior to all appointments monthly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Travel with physicians to clinic locations as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Strong computer and EMR documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience in an ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) or Audiology practice
- Experience with surgery scheduling and insurance authorizations
- Knowledge of clinical operations and patient flow management
Patient-focused and compassionate
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinic environment
Team player with excellent communication skills
Comfortable working closely with physicians, patients, and referring providers
