Job Description
Part-Time, Per Diem
Located 1 hour outside of Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities:
Work a minimum of 4 shifts per month (8- or 10-hour shifts) in Nuclear Medicine at Phoenixville Hospital & PET Scan at the Limerick Outpatient Center, according to department needs.
Take a minimum of 1 weekend of on-call per month (Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm).
Take a minimum of 2 holidays of on-call per year (Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving).
Be available for sick/vacation coverage as needed.
Key Duties:
Integrate scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and diagnostic information.
Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, nuclear physics, mathematics, and pharmacology.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain diagnostic images and/or provide therapy as ordered by a physician.
Ensure the delivery of quality care to patients from pediatrics through adults using professional and ethical judgment.
Maintain CNMTB/ARRT certification, completing continuing education requirements to sustain expertise and awareness of advancements in practice.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree
Relevant experience in Nuclear Medicine
Certification and Licensure:
BLS Certification
CNMT Certification
NMTCB certification or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine
Certification eligible Nuclear Medicine Technologists hired upon graduation must be certified and registered (ARRT(N) and/or CNMT) within 6 months of their graduation date to remain employed.
