Dallas, TX | 13-Week Contract | $70.00 hr
CornerStone Medical is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for an exciting 13-week travel assignment at a leading acute care medical facility in Dallas, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for certified laboratory professionals looking to expand their experience in a fast-paced clinical environment while earning highly competitive pay.
Position Details
- Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
- Shift Options: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Weekend Requirements: Optional
- Interview Process: One virtual interview
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Current laboratory certification required:
- ASCP (MLS) preferred
- AMT, CLS, HEW, NCA, or equivalent accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent laboratory experience
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations, quality standards, and safety practices
Experience in:
- Urine testing
- Throat cultures
- Molecular diagnostics
- Limited microbiology testing
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of laboratory testing and analysis
- Ensure compliance with quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection prevention standards
- Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Accurately analyze and report patient test results
- Maintain laboratory inventory and supplies
- Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in laboratory projects, process improvement initiatives, and educational activities
- Serve as a resource and mentor to laboratory team members when needed
