Contract to Hire
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:00am-5:00pm and Tues, Thurs 8:00am - 6:30pm
Pay: up to $22/HR (DOE)
CornerStone Medical is looking for a Medical Assistant with Surgery Scheduler experience for a Colon & Rectal clinic in Plano/ Frisco, TX. This role will consist of working in the Frisco & Plano locations.
Duties/Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Cleans rooms after visits, cleans and disinfects equipment, restocks supplies. Assists with inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary supplies, equipment and instruments, and records as necessary.
- Scribes and understands basic procedure codes and diagnosis codes
- Performs exams and assist in small office procedures like hemorrhoid banding
- Assists and accompanies patients from waiting room and prepares patients for examination.
- Interviews patients and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Collects all medical data in order to facilitate the physician's ability to draw conclusions about the patient's needs. Ensure all charts and forms for the office visit are ready for the provider.
- Schedules surgeries for the providers
Have excellent attendance record
