Dallas,  TX
Pay Rate Range: $25-$32/hour
Contract To Hire 
Length of Assignment: 6 months
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-430p (30min lunch)
Parking Included: Assigned parking


We are hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse for a Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic in Dallas, TX!

Job Duties:
  • Performs assigned nursing duties, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, under the direct supervision of an RN/Physician.
  • Reinforce patient/family teaching as delegated by the RN and clearly documents patient response in patient record
  • Accept and documents verbal orders from the provider according to Scott and White Clinic guidelines
  • Establish and maintains venous access and IV therapy in accordance with Scott & White policies and procedures
  • Clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, patient care activities and patient condition to appropriate parties.
  • Provides appropriate assistance in emergency and stressful situations as needed
  • Take initial referral and coordinates with referral sources.
  • Clarify orders by verifying treatment needs and the following physicians, per homecare/hospice guidelines.
  • Assign admission visit in conjunction with patient care manager or designee to appropriate discipline
  • Facilitate communications associated with the referral source and process to appropriate team members
Requirements
  • Certification/Degree Requirements: LVN License, BLS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)-
  • Licensed Vocational Nursing Experience Equivalencies: - 2 years’
  • Infusion/Clinic/Hospital Experience  
  • H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent

Must pass a criminal background check, drug test and have current immunizations
