Licensed Veterinary Technician
Location: Dallas, Texas
Job Type: Full-Time
Clinic Hours (Shifts occur between these times):
Monday/Thursday: 7am-8:30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 7am-6:30pm
Saturday: 7am - 2:30pm
Sun- Off/rotation for hospital patient
Salary: B.O.E- Based on Experience
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Vet Tech (VT) to join a great team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent patient care and supporting veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services to our furry patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and procedures
- Perform diagnostic testing including blood draws, urinalysis, and radiographs
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgery
- Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed
- Provide post-operative care and client education
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical history
- Ensure a clean and organized clinic environment
- Assist in client communications and provide support for their concerns
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) preferred, but not required
- Experience with Covetrus Impromed, Idexx lab machines, Antech lab is a plus.
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and detail-oriented approach to patient care
