Contract to hire at 3 months
Shift Requirements: M-F 8am-5pm (No weekend or On Call)
License Requirements: NC License or compact license
Mileage Reimbursement:0.41 cents/mile
County Covered: Rowan County
Preferred Skills: Wound care (NPWT included), IV antibiotics, PICC line care, Foley management, G-Tube, Drain Management, and venipuncture.
(Also need updated immunizations, and be able to pass a drug test & background check)
Job Duties:
Provide care for clients following client's plan of care at all times while maintaining client's dignity and independence. Monitoring client's vital statistics and reporting abnormal findings. Administration of medications, feedings, oxygen, ostomy care as needed per client's plan of care and provided assessments of results. Complete routines as established by other care professionals such as PT, OT, Speech Therapists. Insure infection control policies are always maintained, reports possible communicable diseases or infections and insures the overall implementation and practice of infection control procedures are implemented. Accurately documenting nursing actions of all care given and communication as appropriate as well as documenting the progress and outcomes for established goals and information. Ordering supplies, medications, and feedings as needed to insure adequate amounts are always on hand. Ensures all patient needs are being met in accordance with the instructions of the physician. Monitors incidents involving individuals. Ensure incident reports are completed timely, accurately, and appropriate personnel notified; examine the individual following the incident. Ensuring all medical equipment is maintained and report faulty equipment to DME for repair
Education & Requirements:
HS Diploma
Associates Degree in Nursing
Must be a licensed LPN for the State of NC
Mut have 2 + years of home health experience
Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
Must have auto insurance and valid drivers license
Must have immunizations required by the facility
