4-Month Contract Assignment

Are you a Medical Affairs professional with a passion for scientific excellence, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration? We are seeking an experienced Interim Medical Affairs Lead to support a leading global pharmaceutical organization during a critical project period.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Medical Affairs expert to drive scientific review processes, support commercial and medical initiatives, and serve as a trusted scientific partner across the organization.
Position Overview
As the Interim Medical Affairs Lead, you will implement Medical Affairs strategies, processes, and policies that support marketed products, product line extensions, clinical trials, and products in development. You will play a key role in ensuring scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective communication across medical and commercial functions.

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Location: Fort Worth, TX preferred. Remote candidates may be considered if a qualified local candidate is not identified quickly. Preference remains for Texas-based professionals.

Key Responsibilities Medical Review & Compliance
  • Lead scientific and promotional review of commercial and medical materials through PRC/SRC processes.
  • Ensure all communications are scientifically accurate, balanced, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage approval workflows, material assessments, documentation, and governance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for review processes and compliance frameworks.
Scientific Communications
  • Support the development, review, and dissemination of medical publications, scientific communications, and promotional materials.
  • Interpret clinical and real-world evidence and translate findings into clear, compliant communications.
  • Respond to complex scientific inquiries and support medical information activities.
Strategic Partnership
  • Serve as a scientific expert and trusted advisor to Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Medical teams.
  • Provide guidance on product data, claims, messaging, and scientific positioning.
  • Support medical engagement, training, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Deliver presentations and scientific insights to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Process Leadership
  • Own and manage key Medical Affairs processes with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to governance improvements, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and review support to peers and junior team members when needed.

Qualifications Required Education
  • Terminal degree required:
    • PharmD
    • PhD
    • MD
    • DNP/DrNP
    • Or equivalent advanced healthcare/scientific doctorate
Required Experience
  • 5–8 years of experience in:
    • Medical Affairs
    • Medical Review
    • Scientific Communications
    • Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Industry roles
Preferred Expertise
  • Promotional Review Committee (PRC) and/or Scientific Review Committee (SRC) experience
  • Medical and promotional material review
  • Regulatory and compliance knowledge
  • Scientific communications and publications
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Regulatory, and Legal teams
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
