Clinical Appeals Nurse (RN) -  No Weekends
Fort Worth, TX

CornerStone Medical is looking for a highly trained and skilled Clinical Appeals Registered Nurse (RN) for a premier healthcare facility in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate should have 2 years of experience working appeals in a central business office setting, advanced level of knowledge with either InterQual, Milliman, Indicia, previous experience working appeals for an insurance company. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Requirements of the Clinical Appeals Registered Nurse (RN):
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
  • Associates in Nursing Required. Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Texas Registered Nurse License Required.
  • Minimum two (2) years previous experience in managed care and denials management in a healthcare business office setting required, or minimum five (5) years previous experience in areas such as case management, utilization management, clinical pathways.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare third party reimbursement, variance and denial records.
  • Understanding of Managed Care contracts, denials and payor methodology.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    Prior experience with Epic Hospital Billing Resolute Preferred.
  • Excellent vocabulary, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and composition skills proven through the development of written communication.
  • Previous experience in an inpatient / hospital setting
