Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28/hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (based on performance and attendance)
We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians with a strong background in orthopedic, spine, and joint instrumentation to join a high-end surgical center in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality, precision, and patient safety are top priorities. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of surgical instrumentation and supplies to support efficient operations
- Proficiency with Decontamination,Sterilization, Endoscopy scopes and Assembly and wrapping
- Manage and maintain both purchased and loaner implant sets
- Collaborate effectively with surgical staff, physicians, and internal departments
- Sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies using autoclaves and other sterilization systems
- Load and operate sterilization equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards
- Accurately document sterilization cycles and verify parameters
- Assemble instrument trays, sets, and procedure kits according to standardized count sheets
- Inspect, clean, disinfect, and reassemble surgical instruments and equipment
- Ensure all instruments are functioning properly and report deficiencies
- Pull and prepare case carts and surgical supplies for scheduled procedures
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas
- Monitor and restock inventory as needed
- Utilize chemical and biological indicators to ensure sterilization effectiveness
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards
- Assist team members to ensure efficient case turnover and workflow
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2–3 years of experience in sterile processing or instrument room required
- Experience with orthopedic, spine, and joint instrumentation strongly preferred
- CRCST certification required
- Knowledge of steam, gravity, and low-temperature sterilization systems (e.g., V-Pro)
- Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and tray assembly
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accountability
- Must have current immunizations, pass a drug test and background check
