Payrate: $19.00
Training on site in Irving Mon-Fri hours between 8am – 6pm for 30 days and remote after training is completed successfully. The work day is 8 hours with a 30-minute lunch.
Mon – Fri 9:30am-6pm remote after training
Job Duties:
The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist working within a licensed pharmacy, performs the technical, nonjudgmental aspects of entering prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system, medication preparation, record keeping and inventory control. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered pharmacist. Supports and adheres to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
Meet established expectations for quality, productivity, and attendance.
Prescription and Order Processing
Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system, in accordance with company policy and pharmacy regulations.
Sending and Processing Refill Requests. Eligibility verification.
Verify patient information and ensure proper physician authorization.
Calculate correct dosage volumes and day supply, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
Accurately process all orders within our required Service Level Agreements.
Check all orders for completeness of information
Assist in working cross-functionally, including handling prescriber calls and shipment-related calls.
Support escalations and assist with communications involving leadership, pharmacists, program management, and third-party hubs.
Requirements:
Must be certified/active with the State of Texas Board of Pharmacy. Must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Six months previous experience as a CPHT.
