Pharmacy Data Entry Technician (CPhT)
Location Cary, NC | Hybrid (Onsite M–F until Feb, then Hybrid)
Compensation & Schedule
• $23.00/hr through February; $22.00/hr thereafter
• M–F 9am–6pm (training), then 11am–8pm
• Some Saturday availability required
ROLE IMPACT
This position supports a closed-door specialty pharmacy by ensuring patient scripts and profiles are accurately processed in a high-volume, data-sensitive environment. Success in this role contributes directly to patient safety and efficient pharmacy operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enter and verify patient profiles and prescription data with high accuracy
• Build new patient records and process scripts for existing customers
• Work in compliance with pharmacy and HIPAA regulations
• Maintain strong attendance and adherence to shift schedules
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely task completion
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Active CPhT certification and Board of Pharmacy registration
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 11am–8pm shifts post-training
• Availability to work some Saturdays as scheduled
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Pharmacy data entry systems (training provided)
• Microsoft Office Suite
• HIPAA-compliant communication tools
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Prior experience in a specialty or closed-door pharmacy environment
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
• Interest in long-term conversion with a Fortune 10 employer
