Job Description
Location: Abilene Texas
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
- roughly $30/hr, working 3 hours daily Mon-Fri
- Flexible scheduling based on instructor availability
- Typical class length: 1.5 hours
- Approximately 3 hours per instructional session including preparation and classroom responsibilities
- Direct hire- Independent Contractor
- Start: August 2026
Help prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering engaging classroom and hands-on Medical Assisting instruction. This flexible opportunity allows experienced healthcare professionals to continue working in their field while mentoring future medical professionals.
Comprehensive curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional resources are provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on Medical Assisting instruction
- Prepare students for nationally recognized certifications
- Maintain required classroom documentation
- Foster a positive and professional learning environment
- Mentor students using real-world healthcare experience
- Teach at multiple campuses when available
- Opportunity to teach additional Healthcare Sciences programs if qualified
- Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience OR 1 year of Medical Assistant instructional experience
- Ability to successfully complete FBI fingerprinting/background screening
- Patient intake
