Job Description
CornerStone Medical is currently looking for a CMA who has Pediatrics experience in Dallas, Texas. This position is for a premier LGBTQ+ clinic.
Pay: Up to $20
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM - 5PM
(Third Monday of every month we are 10-7)
Clinical Duties:
- Taking and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administering injections and medications as directed by a physician.
- Drawing blood and collecting laboratory specimens for testing.
- Preparing patients for examinations and assisting during procedures.
- Performing basic laboratory tests and processing specimens.
- Changing dressings on wounds and removing sutures.
- Operating diagnostic equipment like electrocardiograms (EKGs).
Administrative Duties:
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing calendars.
- Maintaining and updating patient medical records.
- Handling billing, coding, and insurance forms.
- Answering telephones and directing calls appropriately.
- Coordinating referrals and authorizations for specialist services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent clinical experience.
- BLS
- Pediatric Experience
- Proficiency in clinical skills, including phlebotomy and administering injections.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Organizational skills to manage administrative tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical software.
