Associate Veterinarian
Location: East Dallas, Texas
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to $140,000 base + bonus
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join a great team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing top- notch medical care, have excellent communication skills, and work well in a team oriented environment. .
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in small animals (and exotics, if applicable).
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and soft tissue surgeries.
• Conduct thorough wellness exams, vaccinations, and preventative care.
• Interpret diagnostic tests, including radiographs, ultrasounds, and lab results.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, treatment plans, and preventative health measures.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Qualifications:
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas
• Strong surgical and diagnostic skills preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Doctor of Veterinary degree from a accredited institution
Benefits:
- Production commission 21% monthly- paid out the following month production was accrued.
- AVMA malpractice insurance paid by the employer, this does not count against production.
- Employer Sponsored Healthcare at $450 per month
- Continuing education credit of $1500 annually
- 3 weeks PTO- they earn 5 hours per pay period, we are paid twice per month, on the 15th and last day of the month.
- PTO payout is 100% of associate rate up to 24 hours, 50% of rate will be paid out hours 25+
- 401k participation after 1 year 1000 hour rule, with annual match up to $5000.
