Licensed Vocational Nurse- LVN 
Medicine Specialty - Neurology
Fort Worth TX 
13 week contract 
$35hr
Shift: Wed-Friday 8AM – 5PM

Under general direction from Center Manager, the Licensed Vocational Nurse provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation of the patient. The Licensed Practical/Vocational nurse is responsible for delivering safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, educative and individualized nursing care to patients and families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains patient safety, and ensures a clean, orderly environment throughout the Center.
  • Accurately comprehends and interprets verbal orders/directions.
  • Addresses individual patient needs, and completes all post-op physician orders.
  • Adheres to CDC Bodily Fluid precautions and infectious waste disposal according to policy.
  • Monitors compliance with principles of aseptic technique according to accepted standards.
  • Organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel to provide effective and efficient case management.
  • Conducts pre and post-procedure orientation and instruction of patient and/or patient’s family, communicating a positive and caring attitude. Provides verbal and written discharge criteria.

Requirements:
2 plus years of experience as a practicing Licensed Vocational Nurse in Neurology department
Active TX LVN license

**Must pass criminal background check, drug test and have current immunizations as required by the hospital**
